Louisiana - As a result of Hurricane Katrina, the Superintendent of Education said FEMA money is available for 75 percent of the cost of adding portable buildings, modular space and relocatable classrooms. The temporary space is to be used for displaced students and teachers.

A flood destroyed Griffithsville Elementary School in West Virginia, leaving students and staff without classrooms and offices. The Lincoln County Board of Education decided that the school required a construction solution that was flexible and fast.
