As the national spotlight on mold and mildew in schools continues to grow and linger much like the contaminant itself, carpet continues by many to be linked to cases of toxic mold. But, according to the national Carpet and Rug Institute, it is not the flooring material that is the culprit of mold or mildew, it is the moisture beneath it.
